The Nikon EL2 is a classic 35mm SLR camera released in the late 1970s, bridging the gap between Nikon’s fully mechanical bodies and their later electronic models. It was the successor to the Nikkormat EL series and one of the first Nikon cameras to feature an electronic shutter with aperture-priority auto exposure powered by a silicon photodiode for fast, accurate metering.
